Over the past several weeks, we've been hard at work behind the scenes, and I wanted to give you a sneak peek at what we're building for the **Gems and Minerals Rock Community**.
This isn't just a simple website anymore—it's growing into a place where rockhounds, crystal collectors, lapidary artists, fossil lovers, and geology enthusiasts can truly feel at home.
Here's some of what we're working on:
💎 A completely redesigned front page with a cleaner, more modern look.
🌤️ A live weather section to help you plan your next rockhounding adventure.
📰 New featured content areas highlighting minerals, community posts, and special discoveries.
🎮 An expanding Rockhound Arcade filled with crystal and geology-themed games.
📸 Better image displays throughout the site to showcase beautiful minerals and member photos.
👥 Community improvements to make sharing photos, discoveries, videos, and discussions even easier.
🌙 Light and Dark Mode so you can browse the site however you prefer.
🗺️ Future interactive features, collections, achievements, and much more are already being planned.
We're also polishing nearly every corner of the website—from graphics and animations to navigation and overall performance. Many areas are being redesigned to feel more immersive, more professional, and more fun to explore.
This is an ongoing project, so you'll continue to notice improvements appearing over time. Some updates will be small, while others will completely transform parts of the website.
